Our recording studio is thirty minutes from San Marcos, CA and the Cal State San Marcos campus, and it's a real room instead of a practice space. Two rooms built for sound, an Avid Pro Tools Certified engineer, and one rate with everything included: $75 an hour.
Take the 78 east to the 15 north, then Mission Road in Fallbrook to Green Briar Lane. About 30 minutes. Parking on site. Sessions and tours are by appointment, seven days a week.
Also an easy run from Cal State San Marcos, Palomar College, Vista and Escondido.
I'm going to be honest with you. Everyone in Fallbrook calls our town a "Friendly Village." Even so, San Marcos is a permanent setting on my truck's GPS. It's not far. I am a huge fan of Palomar College. I've taken nearly every one of their woodworking courses, multiple video editing, screenplay writing and photography courses, and many other interesting ones. Their faculty remind me of my team at the Rocket. Unlike the big-university professors, they seem to be there for the joy and fulfillment of teaching. They genuinely care, just like us.
San Marcos is a big place, so there are options for audio and video production nearby. One of them even has a space-age name. You might think a spaceship has to be better than a rocket, but trust me, nope.
I visit often. How about you come visit us? There is something special in Fallbrook you've got to see. Schedule a free tour and I'd love to show it to you.

Why make the drive
You don't need a recording studio. You need a tribe.
Music students who need a proper room for a project or an EP, hip-hop and R&B artists recording over their own beats, singer-songwriters and bands from the Palomar and CSUSM scene.
— An engineer who does this every day, not a friend learning on your song
— A 21×18 live room, two booths and a 22×20 control room, built for sound
— Gear that is maintained, built and recapped in-house
— One rate, everything included, no surprises at the end
